I have always loved stationery and art shops, I’m unable to go in them without buying something. Because of this, I’ve always had some sort of paper in my pockets; notebooks, origami paper, things with texture, something to write on, draw on or fold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I studied art between ’92 and ’98, eventually going more toward user interface design and function, I’ve been self-employed as a computer programmer since then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I love sewing, quilting runs in my family, I still have a lot of my grandma’s cutting templates, designs and some of her wonderful Liberty fabrics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first time I tried making notebooks was in the early ’90s when having a particularly bad flare-up of my arthritis forced me to take up more sitting down activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The past few years for me have been more about origami, but since shielding for Covid19 I decided to give bookbinding another go. I’m enjoying it so much more than I did the first time and now have a large collection of different types of notebooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ve also taken some time this year to work on other projects I’m interested in and hope I’ll soon have more things for sale on Etsy, linked from my shop page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
